Steve & Amy Englund

Englund FamilySteve
and Amy both graduated from Radford University where they met.  They were married in May of 2006 and have two children – Evie and Porter.  They both love the outdoors, to have a good laugh, and spending quality time with old and new friends.  Steve has been in full-time ministry since January of 2004.  Up until May of 2015 his ministry focus was with NLCF, our campus congregation but he, Amy and their two kids made a shift over to New Life after feeling God asking them to do so.  Steve has a passion for discipleship, serving where needed, and seeing genuine community develop.  He’s also a handy man – having a knack for construction and fix-it type jobs.

Amy was on staff with NLCF from 2007-2010 but felt called to pursue a job related to her degree. She currently works at New River Valley Community Services with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities and absolutely loves her job!  She loves being a mother, being around other people and not taking life too seriously.  She’s an introvert who becomes an extrovert once she gets to know someone.  Amy has a desire to see people authentically know and care for one another and is excited to contribute to building community at New Life.
