We wanted to post an update in response to the current meeting guidelines surrounding COVID-19 and our ability to operate in-person.
While we understand our area of Virginia is in Phase II of re-opening, and churches can choose to meet in person, our leadership team has decided that we will continue to meet online for the remainder of the summer.
There are two main reasons for this decision. First, we are in the middle of a building transition and we don’t currently have a worship space ready and available to use to utilize. Second, the requirements for safety and social distancing necessary to ensure everyone’s health would cause us to need to shift our focus from getting our new space ready to trying to create an alternative space. We do not feel this is in the long-term, best interest of our church family.
Instead, we are hosting our Sunday worship gatherings, small groups, and prayer times all online. If you would like to know how to participate in these gatherings, please let us know.
We seek to be gathered while we are scattered. Just because we are seeking to practice “social distancing,” does not mean that we are to practice relational distancing. We are made to have relationships in our lives and now, more than ever, we need to continue seek it out. Let us know how we can be praying for you and we hope you can join us as we continue to worship God together.
Additionally, we have started up a mid-week podcast called, The In-Between. This is meant to serve as another connection point throughout the week as we are engaging in this season together. Tune in!
